As mentioned above, I deduce that such things having been attached with various meanings in Sado lead to its widespread diffusion. In the background of these ideas and discourses, there may be the diffusion of the concept called “lifelong learning” that regards out-of school activities as “education” or “learning” comprehensively. The objective of this study is to indicate how the present Sado has been positioned in society rather than dealing with Sado as with the conventional Sado argument/history studies that try to discuss the essence of Sado conceptually. Through this study, I will find some clues for a future research issueーthat is, a deep understanding of the attitudes and backgrounds and backgrounds of contemporary people in their engagement in leisure/culture activities.
